Where every app fact on this site comes from, how it gets verified, and what happens when there’s nothing to verify against.

The source hierarchy
Not all sources are equal. Ours, in order:

How a fact gets onto the site
- Read it at source. The claim is taken from the Play listing or the developer’s policy, not from a secondary write-up.
- Record it once. Listing facts live in one configuration file that every page reads from, so no two pages can disagree.
- Attribute it. The page says where it came from, in the sentence or in the sources block.
- Date it. The “last checked” date goes on the page.
- Mark the gaps. Where a detail isn’t published, the page says so.
What we do when there's nothing to verify
This comes up more than you'd think. Some real examples from this site:

Re-checking
App listings change. We re-read the Play listing periodically and after any report of an inaccuracy, and update the shared fact sheet when something has moved. The current check date across the site is September 11, 2026.
Things that trigger an update: a change to the rating or content descriptors, a change to the data safety declaration, a new listing update date, a change in the download tier, a materially changed description, or new screenshots.
